Took
from inside the time keepers hut, that green light bulb is the signal
for the start of eadh riders lap.
Now the TT has caught up slightly with the 21st century there are transponders
to electronically time each machine but even up to 2003 the hut would
be crammed with timekeepers manually stop watching each race and practice
session.
As the bikes hammered past to complete each lap someone had the un enviable
task of having to identify each number.
